In Memory

Rosemary, the beloved wife of Gene Wolfe, has passed away. I met her only once at a science fiction convention, and was deeply impressed with her kindness and fortitude.

Here is her obituary:

  1. Comment by Darrell:

    Memory eternal!

  2. Comment by Mary:

    May she rest in peace.

  3. Comment by deiseach:

May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

  4. Comment by Bobby Trosclair:

May God embrace the soul of Rosemary, His faithful servant, and comfort the soul of Rosemary’s beloved husband Gene, whom she brought to the Catholic Faith.

  5. Comment by Xena Catolica:

    Lux perpetua….

  6. Comment by Brian Niemeier:

Unlike Mr. Wright I never had the honor of meeting Mrs. Wolfe, and I just learned form her obituary that it’s entirely my fault. Until now I had no idea that she lived in Peoria, IL. I’m writing this exactly one mile away from St. Bernard’s Church, where Mrs. Wolfe’s wedding–and now her funeral–took place. As a student at the parish school I attended Mass there each week.

    Eternal memory.
