Come to the Dark Side, Joss! We have Cookies!
Here is one more data point in the ongoing argument that Social Justice Warriors and Political Correcting Officers and Thought Police and (as I call them) Morlocks are not really creatures of the Left.
They are not Leftists, not Liberals, but are in fact the opposite. They use Leftwing terminology and vocabulary, but they stand for the very opposite ideals.
- Leftists are antiracists and antibigots, who want a color blind society where all are judged on their merit and character.
- Morlocks are pure pro-racist bigots, who hate straight white males because of their outward characteristics of skin color and genitalia, and merit and character be damned.

The shrieking harpies of toleration have successfully driven Joss Whedon off Twitter after their Two Minute Hate for some imagined slight against goodthink. Yes, this is the same Joss Whedon who pioneered the unobtrusive and winning pro-femininst and pro-lesbian messages into BUFFY and ANGEL and FIREFLY, all of which were not just well written entertainment, but superbly written, FIREFLY most of all.
He is being excoriated for the latest AVENGERS movie, the wildly popular latest entry in the most wildly popular film franchise in human history.
The Avengers, if my fellow geeks will kindly recollect, has been solidly on the side of anti-prejudice and anti-bigotry since their inception in the 1960s, back when this message actually had some meaning.
The Avengers has always been like the bridge crew of STAR TREK: American supersoldier Captain America alongside the Soviet superspy Black Widow together with wealthy Tony Stark and poverty-stricken Luke Cage, the Caucasian Wasp (no pun intended) and the Korean Mantis, the awesome Black Panther, Monarch of Wakanda, and the not so awesome (but still a favorite of mine) Nightthrasher, a hightech streetfighter with a skateboard. Not to mention Norse gods and Greek demigods, a guy who controls ants, and the ultimate minority, the mutants.

The Avengers is and has always been one note on one theme: that no matter our differences, in times of danger, all the oddballs and misfits of the universe pull together. No one is judged on his zany outward appearance, be he green skinned like the Hulk or blue skinned like Kurt Wagner. It is the dream of Martin Luther King in comic book form. Each man, human or not, is judged on the content of his character.
Avengers is and has always been the very showcase and exemplar of the so-called ‘diversity’ the shrieking harpies of tolerance pretend, but never very convincingly, to uphold. The cast is more diverse than any you will find outside of an Oz book.
And for staying firmly in this liberal tradition Joss Whedon gets savaged.
I cannot reprint the Twitter messages here, because I don’t allow on my site the swearwords and yahoo poo-flinging which is the sole means of communication left to our moral and mental elite masters and superiors after they have evolved into post-rational sub-humans. Here are two relatively clean ones:

Most interesting to me is why the shrieking harpies are calling Joss Whedon a ‘racist ‘ (as well as ableist, transphobic misogynist — quick fun quiz: which of those three words is actually a word in English?)
Why a racist?
He wrote a successful movie script in which a woman was sterilized at a teenager as part of a Soviet program to create biologically-augmented assassins; and the woman falls in love with the tormented and accursed Bruce Banner, who houses an inner rage-monster. The woman, Black Widow, sees past the monster and feels sympathy for the human soul beneath.
Now, this is regarded by the Morlocks as an abomination, because they hate love, they hate femininity, they hate female bodies, female fertility, and hate the sympathy and compassion and human feeling that Black Widow displays in the movie.
The Morlocks hate humanity.
The Morlocks have become convinced that to be female, loving, compassionate, or human is a sign of inferiority, a loss of power. The Marxist dogma forming the core of their paranoid, warped and sick worldview says that there is no morality in life, only power.
Life, for Marx, consists of the strong trampling the weak, over and over, forever, with no quarter, no peace, no respite. The only thing to do to avoid being trampled is to trample others.
Marx interpreted the Darwinian view of the survival of the fittest to apply to human society: strong societies and institutions trample weak ones, the successful prosper and spread, and they are trampled in turn by even stronger, and this leads to the gradual and evolutionary improvement of the race, through bloodshed and turmoil, until we reach the socialist workers paradise.
Marxist looked at the mutually beneficial relationship of the free market, where, in reality, the rich get richer only by making the poor richer (see, for example, Henry Ford making Detroit the richest city on Earth, and putting the automobile within the budgets of the middle class).
Marx, in an inexplicable and utter failure of the reasoning process, came to the bizarre conclusion that the mutually beneficial and mutually voluntary relationship of employer and employee was instead a parasitical relation of exploitation, the rich trampling the poor, and making them ever poorer via the iron law of wages and the progressive immiseration of the masses and other nonsense-phrases that refer to nothing in reality.
Suffragettes wanted the vote. Their campaign was a reasonable one, a desire to exercise their God-given right to participate in the making of laws that bound them. While I myself am willing to entertain doubts about the long term side effects of extending the franchise to women, I do not really trust men with the franchise either, so I regard the goal as well intentioned, a step toward a more civilized future.
The modern feminist is a far different case. The modern feminist, in an inexplicable and utter failure of the reasoning process, come to the bizarre conclusion that the mutually beneficial and mutually voluntary relationship of male and female, lover and beloved, man and wife, was instead a parasitical relation of exploitation, the male trampling the female, and making them ever weaker and more miserable via the patriarchy and the rape-culture and other nonsense-phrases that refer to nothing in reality.
To the Christian, both virginity is sacred, and matrimony is sacred. To the modern feminist, the act of holding virginity sacred is a deadly insult. Saying or implying that motherhood will make a woman happy is a deadly insult. Everything sane folk hold sacred, the Morlock calls abomination; abominations, particularly sexual perversions, the Morlock calls sacred.
Saying that a sterilized woman is unhappy not being able to bear children is likewise a deadly insult. Saying that a woman should carry a firearm in which she is trained in order to deter or slay any attacker is a deadly insult, on the grounds that it excuses rape and blames the victim. Saying women should either dress modestly or expect to be ogled by lustful boys is a deadly insult on a similar ground. Saying women should be married is an insult; saying women should not be married is an insult; saying nothing at all is an insult.
The only rational solution to someone wishes not to encounter the two minute hate is not to have any female characters in stories at all — which is likewise an insult.
The reality is that all Sons of Adam and Daughters of Eve are either discontented with this life here on Earth, or is a fool who forgets the sorrows awaiting him.
The discontent is part of human nature: no woman, by magic transformed into a rich, straight, white, male of the oppressor class, joining the Patriarchy and getting a secret decoder ring from the secret League of Men which allows us to control life, history, and the world would actually be one iota more happy.
All babies enter life screaming and wailing, and all men perish, and their works perish after them. To blame your fellow man for your discontent is an act of neurosis; to blame a class of men for all the world’s pain is psychosis.
And to turn on Joss Whedon, foremost champion of fashionable Leftwing causes, and, of all writers in Hollywood, the most talented, the most beloved, the most able to insert fashionable Leftwing messages into the popular culture — that is beyond psychotic, beyond ingratitude, beyond dishonest and dishonorable, and well into the freakish comedy of the absurd.
I end with an offer and an appeal to any next Joss Whedan out there. Come to us. Serve the Dark Side. We have cookies. More to the point, we are grateful, and we do not forget our own. Conservatives still honor Dante and Homer.
Do not waste your life and your talent spreading messages supporting these shallow people and their shallow and fashionable ideals. They will turn on you and rend you.
Spread the eternal ideals as old as mankind. Spread the truth, and you will be remembered even when fashions change, as immortal as Dante or Homer.
