A Day of Prayer and Fasting for Tennessee

Today, 10 Oct, is a day of prayer and fasting, of thanksgiving and forgiveness, declared by the governor of Tennessee for the people and state of Tennessee.

I am from Virginia, to which normally my patriotic loyalty would cleave, but, at the moment, we have a governor who publicly supports infanticide, and a state’s attorney credibly accused of rape.

My governor has not called a statewide day of prayer and fasting, and so if heaven showers Tennessee with even more blessings than she now enjoys, we Virginians shall have none to blame but our heathen governor.

I would like to invite my readers also to pray for Tennessee, greenest state in the land of the free.

Write letters to your statehouse or governor’s mansion, friends, and perhaps more states will do likewise.
