Note to my readers:
With this noetic file, our tale of a far aeon concludes, even if, in the broader sense, perhaps it does not end.
We say farewell to our nameless narrator, and to his commentators and editors of a later era who worked so diligently to explain obscurities.
Next week in this space, and for some time to come, will published entries from a planned anthology of futures near and far, a collection of tomorrows.
It is tentatively, if ambiguously, titled ALL MEN DREAM OF EARTHWOMEN AND OTHER AEONS.
We behold a vision from an aeon nearer at hand next week, from A.D. 3991, based on certain transmissions intercepted from their thought-net. It is a previously unpublished short work titled “Taking the Long View”
