Not Tired of Winning Yet CLVII

A small victory, but one not to be expected in the modern clime.

The Supreme Court reached a unanimous decision in the case of Fulton v Philadelphia, where the issue was whether the state could breach a contract with a Catholic-run orphan charity. The state alleged it had the unilateral right to prevent the charity from operating if the charity refused to place orphans into the hands of sexual perverts.

Chief Justice John Roberts, writing for an unanimous court, said the service agency “seeks only an accommodation that will allow it to continue serving the children of Philadelphia in a manner consistent with its religious beliefs; it does not seek to impose those beliefs on anyone else.”

He also said the city’s actions of excluding the agency burdened its “religious exercise by putting it to the choice of curtailing its mission or approving relationships inconsistent with its beliefs.”

It is noteworthy that the Catholic agency involved has a policy not to place an orphan with any unmarried persons, homosexual or not.

From the Epoch Times:

2 Nevada Counties Go ‘Constitutional’

June 13, 2021 Updated: June 13, 2021
Elected officials have declared that the Bill of Rights will be upheld in their jurisdictions, even if it means standing against unconstitutional acts by state and federal authorities.
According to a resolution approved in Elko County on June 2, abuse of the constitutionally protected rights of citizens in Elko and Lander counties will be “dealt with as criminal activity.” Officials in Lander County approved a similar effort.

I hope this will not be the last in this series, since I still am in expectation of the massive voter fraud of 2020 to be corrected, but by what means, even the wise cannot foresee.

EIGHT VINDICATIONS: Or, Eight time Trump Derangement News Stories the Fake News Finally Admits were Fake All Along.

Alas, we will hear no apology, see no accountability. These papers gave each other applause and awards and handsome salaries for this agitprop spread as news.

Please note that this list does not mention first, the ongoing fraud of the Russiagate, which involved corrupt law enforcement abusing their power and perjuring themselves to the FISA Court; nor, second, the fraud of the first fake impeachment, involving a perfectly normal phone call to the leader of an allied nation, among other things, asking for cooperation in uncovering the Russiagate fraud; nor, third, the fraud of the second fake impeachment, involving nothing but hysteria over a minor act of trespass onto the Capitol grounds, where Trump in his public remarks asked protestors to remain peaceful … which they did.

These are only the lies that the fake news, recently, for reasons not clear, decided to fess up.

This text comes from the Daily Caller. Comments in italics are mine.

Please note that in preparation for this column, none — I say again, not one —  of the debunked stories could be found using the Google search engine’s first page or two of results. I had to use Duck Duck Go.

From Lifenews

The Supreme Court has upheld a pro-life ruled issued by President Donald Trump that will help save babies from abortions.

The Trump administration appealed a federal judge’s ruling that allows abortion facilities to send abortion drugs to women in the mail, potentially without ever seeing them in person for an exam.

A trial judge blocks Pennsylvania vote certification.

Pennsylvania state court  Judge Patricia A. McCullough on Friday, issued a Memorandum of Opinion holding that PA preliminary election certification injunction that took place on November 21, was properly issued, and should be upheld.

You can read the Opinion here.

In other words, the opinion upholds an injunction from a case from earlier in the week. This is not one of the Trump cases: a group of Republican lawmakers and candidates brought a lawsuit arguing that the state legislature’s mail-in voting law—Act 77—violated the commonwealth’s constitution.

This preliminary injunction prevents Pennsylvania from taking any further steps to perfect its certification of the election, including but not limited to appointment of electors and transmission of necessary paperwork to the Electoral College, pending further court hearings and rulings.

Let me explain the significance:

As seems apt for my #150 of the list of campaign promises kept by Trump, and other signs and wonders that flow from his history-mugging presidency:

Judge Amy Coney Barrett took her constitutional oath on Monday at the White House. The Supreme Court said in a press release that Barrett will be able to start her new role after Chief Justice John Roberts administers her judicial oath on Tuesday. Justice Clarence Thomas administered the constitutional oath at Monday’s ceremony.

One of Joe Biden’s “tells” (as a gambler might say) is his use of the phrase “C’mon”.

Another is his nervous laughter, or shaking his head dismissively. Such smirks is meant to appeal to the viewer, asking the viewer to dismiss the point being discussed without any further ado.

Again, this is several days after the fact, but I am getting tired of winning, because there is too much. Too much winning. I can barely keep up merely posting a link, much less writing a comment.

From Fox News:

President Trump received yet another Nobel Peace Prize nomination, his fourth, from one Laura Huhtasaari, the Finnish member of the European Parliament.

She writes in her nomination letter:

“It is hard to imagine a president of the United States from the last decades, or a current head of state, who would deserve more the Committee’s recognition in 2021 than President Trump for his effort to build peace in the world…”

Huhtasaari lists Trump’s peacemaking efforts as:

  • The only American president who did not start a new war
  • Withdrew troops from Iraq and Afghanistan
  • Brokered the establishment of full diplomatic relations between Israel, the UAE, and Bahrain.
  • Maintained national cohesion and secured law and order by taking a strong stand against detrimental social movements.

This last, we may assume to be a reference to Black Lives Marxists and Antifas.

Trump brokered an historic Israel-Sudan peace deal

The agreement is the third of its kind in recent weeks between Israel and an Arab nation and follows similar agreements with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. President Trump said at least five additional Arab countries could join peace deals with Israel, including Saudi Arabia.

To his credit, President Trump rejected the advice of the foreign policy establishment — especially State Department careerists — that the first step toward normalized relations between Israel and the Arab world had to be an Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement.

Donald Trump just signed the United States up to the Geneva Consensus Declaration, a worldwide pact signed by 32 countries, affirming that there is “no international right to abortion.”

https://www.hhs.gov/about/agencies/oga/global-health-diplomacy/protecting-life-global-health-policy/geneva-declaration.html

The official announcement reads, in part:

The governments of the Brazil, Egypt, Hungary, Indonesia, Uganda and the United States cosponsored a virtual October 22, 2020 gathering in Washington, D.C. for a multinational ceremonial signing of the Geneva Consensus Declaration

This Declaration further strengthens the coalition to achieve these four pillars: (1) better health for women, (2) the preservation of human life, (3) strengthening of family as the foundational unit of society, and (4) protecting every nation’s national sovereignty in global politics. For example, it is the sovereign right of every nation to make their own laws in regard to abortion, absent external pressure.

Dear readers, we are right to count this as a victory no matter what the final result may be, because, were it not for Trump, such a case would never have been brought in the first place.

Statement of the Attorney General on the Announcement Of Civil Antitrust Lawsuit Filed Against Google
Attorney General William P. Barr released the following statement:

“This morning the Department of Justice, along with eleven states, filed a civil lawsuit against Google for unlawfully maintaining a monopoly in general search services and search advertising in violation of the U.S. antitrust laws. This is a monumental case for the Department of Justice and, more importantly, for the American consumer.

Today, millions of Americans rely on the Internet and online platforms for their daily lives. For years, there have been broad, bipartisan concerns about business practices leading to massive concentrations of economic power in our digital economy. Hearing those concerns, I have made it a primary commitment of my tenure as Attorney General for the Department of Justice to examine whether technology markets have been deprived of free, fair, and open competition.

To that end, the Department of Justice formally opened a review of online market-leading platforms in July 2019. One part of this review is the Antitrust Division’s investigation of Google. Over the course of the last 16 months, the Antitrust Division collected convincing evidence that Google no longer competes only on the merits but instead uses its monopoly power – and billions in monopoly profits – to lock up key pathways to search on mobile phones, browsers, and next generation devices, depriving rivals of distribution and scale. The end result is that no one can feasibly challenge Google’s dominance in search and search advertising.

This lack of competition harms users, advertisers, and small businesses in the form of fewer choices, reduced quality (including on metrics like privacy), higher advertising prices, and less innovation.

The complaint filed today against Google is based on violations of the U.S. antitrust laws and is separate and distinct from concerns raised about content moderation and political censorship by online platforms. As part of the Department’s broader review of market-leading online platforms, we listened to myriad public concerns about how online platforms fail their users. While many of the concerns we heard were competition-related, others were not – like online child exploitation, public safety, and censorship. Outside the Antitrust Division, the Department has considered these issues separately, including by advocating for Section 230 legislative reforms. Our antitrust investigation of Google, by contrast, is based solely on traditional antitrust principles and is aimed at promoting consumer welfare through robust competition.

Here is an announcement from the United States Department of Justice concerning an illegal campaign funding case.

You may recall the Mr Nader here mentioned was the star witness for the Mueller witchhunt and the Russia Hoax. An interesting point not mentioned in the release is that the receivers of the illegal money transfer were not other than the hoax ringleaders, including Hillary and Schiff.
