I cannot speak to the literary merit, but the characterization of John C. Wright is spot on. The author thus depicted suffered an attack of anagnorisis at least twice while reading it.
(And, no, I don’t speak Greek, except with a lexicon open in my lap, plenty of time, and a generous allowance for mistakes. I was the worst student in Greek in my class, bar none.)
