Am I the Only One

Time for another Musical Corner! A song by Aaron Lewis:

My comment:

Think carefully about the art it takes to make an artificial consensus opinion seem to be ubiquitous when it is not even the majority. The voter fraud of 2020 was only the example that was too large to hide, where perhaps a third of the voters cast ballots for a man escorted into office by the establishment media complex, Wall Street, Big Tech, the Swamp, and the Deep State.

Most people try to think mostly about only daily concerns, which is as it should be. Large national questions, deep questions, generate more chatter than action, and are generally the province of sophomores and sophomoric intellectuals.

But these gradual and national conversations are formed over time to generate a consensus, and the mass media and education system, the books printed, the magazines, the newspapers, the shows and plays and films, all contribute to a man’s notion of what his neighbors are like, moreso than his actual experience with real neighbors.

Mass psychology has been extensively studied by the Nazis, by the Communists, and by Madison Avenue and Hollywood. They know what sells products, what starts rumors, what sets tongues wagging, what confirms public opinion.

Ponder how few people are needed to ruin the name of, say, Brett Kavanaugh for life, regardless of every accomplishment on his resume, his reputation in the legal field, his work, his words, his decisions from the bench: a lifetime of work. It took less than five people acting in concert: one false accuser, two bogus politicians, and a few owners of worldwide media conglomerates.

Within my lifetime fifty families owned all the major newspaper and media outlets in the nation. Now that number is closer to fifteen men who own six companies that control nine-tenths of all media.

  1. Michael Bloomberg – Bloomberg  LP and Bloomberg Media
  2. Rupert Murdoch – News Corp
  3. Donald and Samuel “Si” Newhouse – Advance Publications
  4. Cox Family – Atlanta Journal-Constitution
  5. Jeff Bezos – The Washington Post
  6. John Henry – The Boston Globe
  7. Sheldon Adelson – The Las Vegas Review-Journal
  8. Joe Mansueto – Inc. and Fast Company magazines
  9. Mortimer Zuckerman – US News & World Report, New York Daily News
  10. Barbey family – Village Voice
  11. Stanley Hubbard – Hubbard Broadcasting
  12. Patrick Soon-Shiong – Tribune Publishing Co.
  13. Carlos Slim Helu – The New York Times
  14. Warren Buffett – regional daily papers
  15. Viktor Vekselberg – Gawker

The overlap between media moguls, pundits, lobbyists, and professional politicians is likewise startling:

“Jay Carney went from Time to the White House press secretary’s office. Shailagh Murray went from the Washington Post to the Veep’s office while married to Neil King at the Wall Street Journal. Neil King has left the Wall Street Journal to work for Fusion GPS. Linda Douglass went from ABC News to the White House and then the Atlantic. Jill Zuckman went from the Chicago Tribune to the Obama Administration’s Transportation Department. Douglas Frantz went from the Washington Post to the State Department and Stephen Barr went from the Post to the Labor Department. Ruth Marcus, who heads the Washington Post Editorial Board, is married to the Obama Administration’s former Federal Trade Commission Chairman. Matthew Dowd, who worked for scores of Democrats… is the ABC News senior political analyst alongside George Stephanopoulos, formerly press secretary of the Clinton Administration.”

In other words, it is a small group of people commanding an army of employees to help maintain the brain-dead and smug falsehoods implanted in impressionable souls during the long brainwashing sessions called public schooling.

Human psychology makes us prone in any case to believe what is flattering and what will deaden the nerve of conscience, and so it is easy to invent a world where scholars and experts assure one and all that men can be women by donning a dress, or that the world will burn unless we instantly adopt the green new socialism, and that it is not racist to blame the white devils for all life’s evils, because Negroes are too stupid to get an ID card.

The invented world is all cardboard, window dressing, and stage props, of cource, since it is fake, but no one is prone to look at it too closely, because they wish to be deceived. That is the beauty of self-deception. You cannot be undeceived unless you want to be.

The fake world is a very soothing world, for it has all the doctrines and dogmas of the Catholic Church, including guilt trips, confession, indulgences, and the eucharist of aborticide, as well as a promise of the New Jerusalem to come.

In the fake world, you may be required to confess fake sins, either things you did not do, such as commit White Privilege, or things no one can do, such as fail to save the Earth from the dread menace of global climate stasis. But real sins, such as fornication and lying, hatred and fraud, those are lauded and applauded, and you can call yourself brave for shocking Queen Victoria and her stifling moral purity. The days of oppression are gone! You just are no longer allow to use pronouns.

The fake world can sooth, but it cannot satisfy. The plastic food in the display cases will not nourish, if eaten, and if you marry a mannikin, she will not spring to life.

But it can tell you that you are alone, one sane man in a mad world, when, in fact, we outnumber them considerably.
