Not Tired of Winning Yet XXVIII

Posted August 30, 2017 By John C Wright

Several items of heartwarming victory are here.

People with the psychological condition known as sexual dysphoria, otherwise known as “transgendered” will no longer serve in the military. For the first time in modern history, the Long March through our institutions has been forced to take a step back.  Not reported correctly in the news.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio was grotesquely railroaded by the Obama administration. He was ordered by a Judge how and when to enforce the law, despite that the judiciary is not supposed to enforce the law, only interpret it. The Judge told him not to check Mexicans when searching for Mexicans illegally crossing the border.  He obeyed but they claimed he disobeyed, and then charged with contempt of court for failing to obey.   President Trump has undone this disgusting and tyrannical abuse of our legal system by issuing a pardon. Not reported correctly in the news.

Also, the three percent growth to the economy which all the news claimed and screamed and yelled and frothed and yodeled and sneered could not possibly ever take place, on the grounds that slow growth and grinding poverty was the new normal, has, in fact been achieved this quarter. We have seen no such growth in the last eight or ten years or so. Not reported in the news.

Also, national debt decreased by $100 billion during the first few months in office of the Trump Administration. Not reported in the news at all.

The News is losing its deadly and pitiless fight against America.

Sell your Cloak; Buy a Sword

Posted August 28, 2017 By John C Wright

The American you know and love, and everything you love, is on the brink of being “Cultural Revolutioned” away, ChiCom style.

http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2017/08/28/gone-with-wind-screenings-pulled-from-memphis-theater-for-racially-insensitive-content.html

A historic Memphis, Tennessee, theater, which has shown “Gone With the Wind” screenings for 34 years, has decided to remove the classic film from its schedule due to its racially “insensitive” content.

The move comes after violence erupted at a rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, earlier this month. The president of the Orpheum Theatre said the decision to remove the 1939 film was not directly related to the recent headlines.

“The Orpheum appreciates feedback on its programming from all members of the mid-south community,” Orpheum president Bret Batterson said in a statement to Vulture. “As an organization whose stated mission is to ‘entertain, educate and enlighten the communities it serves,’ the Orpheum cannot show a film that is insensitive to a large segment of its local population.”

Last Crusade 32 (Guest): The Spirit Enables

Posted August 21, 2017 By John C Wright

This is a guest post by  Frank Luke:

The Last Crusade: The Spirit Enables Believers to Fulfill the Mission of the Church

Because men are fallen, God must provide a way for believers to share the message of return.

This sermon will be topical, exploring several passages that teach on a theme, instead of working through a single passage. Why did God give the world the Church? It marks a distinct change from the way God worked in the Old Testament. Instead of simply priests and high priests, a hierarchy of deacons, pastors, bishops, and patriarchs developed. Moreover, the Spirit upon every believer (as longed for by Moses and prophesied by Joel) enables every believer to go to God and present the Gospel to others.

Death from the Deep

Posted August 19, 2017 By John C Wright

A question: What is your favorite Shadow story Mr. Wright? I’m asking because this story is making me depressed and I need a good read.

While I like THE SHADOW’S SHADOW and GRAY FIST and DEATH TOWER as the best written stories, this is my favorite radio play.  Read the remainder of this entry »

On Charlottesville

Posted August 19, 2017 By John C Wright

Much emotion, many lies, and few facts surround this story, so it behooves the candid reader to look at the matter with dispassionate eyes, and reach conclusions other than what the mainstream media have ordained for you.

In recent news, when the town of Charlottesville announced the removal of a statue of Confederate general and war hero Robert E. Lee, from Lee Park, renamed Emancipation Park. An Obama supporter involved in the Occupy Wall Street movement named Jason Kessler organized a rally called ‘Unite the Right’ to protest the removal of the statue. Internet personalities, members of the Young Republicans and members of a 2016 white identity politics movement called the ‘Alt-Right’, were slated to be present and speak.

Not Tired of Winning Yet XXVII

Posted August 15, 2017 By John C Wright

Deregulation continues apace. Even I, who am a zealous deregulation fan, had no idea of the lopsided insanity of twenty and thirty year waiting periods from half a dozen agencies.

Below is a press conference that starts awesome, and then explodes into the yowling frenzy of newsmen eating their own entrails out of spite and hatred for all living things, while Mr. Trump tries to talk like a grown up to the maniacs having an emotional breakdown.

Last Crusade 31: The View from Nowhere

Posted August 13, 2017 By John C Wright

If you were the Devil’s Advocate, you would advise the Father of Lies to silence any opposition unheard, because even a soft, still voice of truth is deadly to the hopes of the Devil’s Party.

One way to silence opposition is to claim that matters of private opinion are neither right nor wrong, true nor false, but questions of taste and personal conviction, which must be kept private. The accusation here is that any dissent from established opinion acts to impose private religious conviction on the unwilling, merely by speaking.

The accusation here is that to ask a question is to enact an inquisition.

This is a type of strawman argument, since the truth a speaker supports is always supported on the grounds that it is truth, never on the grounds that the speaker who speaks it is convinced.

Of course he is convinced: the question is whether his reasons for being convinced are sound.

And yet this, out of all weak reasons to silence debate, is the one to which the conservative movement has proven itself unable and unwilling to laugh to scorn.

Dynamite Comics just put out a new version of The Shadow. The Shadow is and has been my most deeply beloved character of my imaginative life.

They turned him into an SJW who lectures villains on their white privilege.

I am not making this up.
