Just for the Record

Posted September 30, 2019 By John C Wright

The puberty blocking drug used to create so called transgender people has killed six thousand children. Meanwhile an already illegal misuse of vaping products is alleged to have some possible but indirect tie to the death of six. Not six thousand. Six.

One of the products is, according to the death cult pseudo religion of political correctness sacred. The other product interferes with the business practice of a particular rich international industry. Despite what you may have heard, large and established businesses, including tech companies, prosper under socialist economic policies and regulatory regimes.

The same Powers That Be who support and spread political correctness publicly, support and spread privately the admixture of socialist and statist incest between big business and big government, fitliest called plutocracy.

One may indifferently regard plutocracy as the extortion and control of established industry by government, or as the bribery and regulatory capture of government by established industry. Since it is the same one group of the elite, it is misleading to speak of two groups, one controlling or bribing the other.

So one product pleases the Elite, and the other does not. Which of the two, the one which killed six thousand children, or the one which may or may not have had an indirect effect leading to the death of six, do you think the media, and the government, activists and pundits and the entire chattering class, now seek to ban?

CORRECTION: I have been informed from several sources, that the number of people who died from the puberty blocking drug is smaller than I give here: There were 6204 Serous adverse effects from the drug, including 200 deaths.

Meanwhile the number of deaths vaguely related to vaping is now being given as seven or eight.

I think the original point still stands. If the number of deaths is two orders of magnitude greater than those alleged to come from vaping rather than three orders of magnitude, the difference in the death toll is still measured in orders of magnitude.

Those Whose Thirst for Control Deludes Them

Posted September 29, 2019 By John C Wright

With the state of the news as it is these days, I feared many of my readers may not have heard this speech, and not seen what it means.

As I read it, this speech hurls down the gauntlet to the powers of this world and signals the onset of the final crusade of this epoch.

The Deep State, the Fake News and the Dems (but I repeat myself) orchestration some sort of extraordinary Chinese Fire Drill to take place at the same time, involving colored flares, shouting and whooping, so as to perplex and befuddle the unwary.

Thank you very much. Mr. President, Mr. Secretary-General, distinguished delegates, ambassadors, and world leaders:

Seven decades of history have passed through this hall, in all of their richness and drama. Where I stand, the world has heard from presidents and premiers at the height of the Cold War. We have seen the foundation of nations. We have seen the ringleaders of revolution. We have beheld saints who inspired us with hope, rebels who stirred us with passion, and heroes who emboldened us with courage — all here to share plans, proposals, visions, and ideas on the world’s biggest stage.

Like those who met us before, our time is one of great contests, high stakes, and clear choices. The essential divide that runs all around the world and throughout history is once again thrown into stark relief.

It is the divide between those whose thirst for control deludes them into thinking they are destined to rule over others and those people and nations who want only to rule themselves.

Banhammer for JackRippa

Posted September 28, 2019 By John C Wright

I do not want one of my guests to be unaware of his polite ejection from this forum, but Mr JackRippa has insulted Gnos Tic three times too often.

Normally I do not ban people for mere rudeness, since I am not your mother, and grown ups should know how to conduct themselves as grown ups when they are guests.

But I make an exception in this case.

I want a public apology to Gnos Tic from JackRippa posted here or I ban JackRippa. I will wait a few days to give you fair opportunity to read this notice.

Other people with swinish manners — you know who you are– I will continue to tolerate, at least for now.

Repeal the Twenty Second Amendment

Posted September 28, 2019 By John C Wright

I hear that the Enemies of Man Democrat Party is launching multiple impeachment investigations rather than debating and passing laws.

I have seen the impeachment investigations are based on a case, which, even if everything alleged against the President were true and interpreted in the light most favorable to the accusation, nothing alleged is neither a high crime, nor a misdemeanor, nor a breach of common courtesy, nor unusual, nor untoward, but is instead one of those things the Office of the President is charged under the Constitution to do (namely to see the laws duly enforced).

If you have a contrary opinion as to the meaning, the wisdom, or the Constitutionality of this naked abuse of process, keep it to yourself. Some things are loaned an undue dignity by debating them as if they were serious.

Red Pill Religion

Posted September 27, 2019 By John C Wright

When Sola Scriptura becomes Bibliodolatry

For the record, I have no idea who this Rocking Mr E might be, nor do I think it worthwhile to contemplate the theological musings of persons without names, or who have not been dead for at least a hundred years. Nothing in the current generation has withstood the test of time.

It is, of course, worthwhile to dismiss fads and fallacies when and as they happen, whether offered anonymously or otherwise. Max Kolbe proceed with great energy and verve to do exactly that.

Listen and enjoy.

The Final Heresy, or, Indifferent to Self-Contradiction

Posted September 26, 2019 By John C Wright

This text is from THE GREAT HERESIES by Belloc, where he described the character of the modern heresy that, having no one heresiarch, has no one name. He prefers the term ‘The Modern Attack’ but says that technically, the correct term is ‘The Anti-Christ’ since the attack is directed to the end of abolishing the Church, and the whole of Western Civilization which she built.

The reader is invited to see if he recognizes anything from our own generation, to which we are all too often blind, that a man writing in 1938 was able to discern so aptly.

The words that follow are his.

Let us examine the Modern Attack — the anti-Christian advance — and distinguish its special nature.

We find, to begin with, that it is at once materialist and superstitious.

There is here a contradiction in reason, but the modern phase, the anti-Christian advance, has abandoned reason. It is concerned with the destruction of the Catholic Church and the civilization preceding therefrom. It is not troubled by apparent contradictions within its own body so long as the general alliance is one for the ending of all that by which we have hitherto lived.

Belloc on Heresy

Posted September 24, 2019 By John C Wright

One of our regular commenters, here, Mr. Richard W Comerford, brings to my attention certain quotes from that most insightful and fascinating book, THE GREAT HERESIES by H Belloc (1938 AD).

He shows a correct insight about the generations after him shared only by CS Lewis and GK Chesterton. Ask yourself why Leftwing predictions, starting with the utopian daydreams of socialists, or their predictions of eco-doomsday, are ever so risible and wrong, whereas those of these writers so perternaturally accurate.

Belloc correctly categorized Mohamedanism as a heresy, not as a seperate religion. The words below are his.

*** *** ***

“It is, in fact, the most formidable and persistent enemy which our civilization has had, and may at any moment become as large a menace in the future as it has been in the past” (93).

Global Warming Cooling Change

Posted September 23, 2019 By John C Wright

I have recently consulted with that most honest of travelers, Mr Lemuel Gulliver, in his stables where he now resides, on the question of global climate change and the very few years we have left in which to appoint a glorious leader with plenary powers and total control over all aspects of yahoo life to combat the threat.

Eight Questions for Moloch

Posted September 22, 2019 By John C Wright

I have a set of questions for Lena Argon. She may no longer be reading here, so I will open the question up to anyone who cares to answer.

We have heard many arguments that an unborn human baby is not a human being, despite being biologically a unique individual, with a given sex, and a given DNA code, able to take in nutriment and grow, maintain homeostasis, react to stimuli, and therefore are alive. The living offspring of two sexes of the same species is of that species, biologically. Yet the claim is that the offspring of male and female humans is not a human.

Let us, for the sake of argument, set aside the question of the human rights of the unborn child, and look at the human duties of the grown parents, particularly the mother.

We will assume the child under age three is not functionally human in the theological and legal meaning of the term. For the purpose of these question, all children are livestock.

Question 1. Does the mother have a duty to love and protect her offspring, and guard its wellbeing?

Bluebird and Paperclip

Posted September 21, 2019 By John C Wright

For those of you who think the CIA is too honorable to have cooperated with a smear campaign to unseat a duly elected president:

Ten Victims of MK Ultra

Here is a paragraph from the beginning of the list:

Kesey, the author of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and a source of inspiration in the counterculture movement, was first exposed to LSD and other psychedelic drugs as a part of the MKULTRA project while still a graduate student at Stanford University. He came to be involved in the study almost by accident, as a neighbor of Kesey’s—a psychologist—signed up for the project but had to back out at the last minute. An outstanding athlete and a straitlaced individual up to that point, Kesey had never done any sort of drug and had never even tasted alcohol. At the time of the experiments, Kesey was in training for the 1960 Olympics, as he had earned a place on the wrestling team as an alternate.

Despite Allen Ginsberg’s insistence, Kesey did not believe that the project was sponsored by the CIA, and not until decades later did Kesey discover the program’s true intent: “[The testing] wasn’t being done to try to cure insane people, which is what we thought. It was being done to try to make people insane—to weaken people, and to be able to put them under the control of interrogators.”

It makes for fascinating, if grim, reading. Read the whole thing.

This is a partial list. Little publicity, even from nominally conservative sources, has been directed to it. It is taken from two sources: here and here.
