“Free trade is wonderful- with allied nations whose workers enjoy a roughly comparable standard of living. But when “muh capitalism” becomes an excuse for swapping out free and independent workers for third-world slave labour, whilst simultaneously placating the newly-unemployed by drugging them to the gills with cheap opiates, it comes to deserve the contempt so often heaped upon it.”

Agreed.

We have seen scientists glamorize science so that policies and propositions clearly out of their realm are asserted to be in their jurisdiction. The same is true of economists. They become fools when they swim outside the depth of their side of the pool.

Here are some of my thoughts about Thanksgiving. I am liberally plagiarizing myself from other articles I have written in the past on the topic, so if you see a paragraph you saw before elsewhere, that is why:

Thanksgiving is nearly a perfect holiday, since by rights it combines the awesome and uplifting act of humiliating oneself to God in thanks for the bounties and blessings poured onto this nation by Providence, with the tradition of gathering the family and clan together in a feast of sumptuous proportions, a feast meant to remind us of the wealth the hard work of our fathers created for us, and to remind us of the hard-won liberty and wise laws protecting our rights to enjoy that wealth and worship that God.

Thanksgiving sums up the three greatest blessings of America.

Our political system is a voluntary mutual compact of limited and equal government enshrining individual rights; our economic system is a free market protecting individual property; and our religious heritage is one of the liberty of the individual conscience, a principle found in only in one faith in the world.

The 3 Cs of America are Constitutionalism, Capitalism, and Christianity. At Thanksgiving, we give thanks for all three at once.

Currently, the socialist plutocrats inspired by idiot intellectuals and funding news media, social media, as well as the servants amid the Deep State and Donor Class, whose servants, in turn, our are political figures, form an Establishment deeply and thoroughly devoted to racism in a fashion not seen since Nazi Germany.

As befits Gnostics and Nephelococcygians and other inhibitors of the Looking Glass Land, these men with their heads screwed on assbackward do the very deeds they accuse in others; and voice the accusations with such piercing, reckless, irrational hate, that it is a wonder to behold. Sane men silently back away, looking for some handy stick to club them back once they turn violent — as they always eventually do.

It is a wonder, for it is self-hatred they express.

The servants of the Enemy are smirking and sneering, and asking rhetorically what would happened to young Mr. Rittenhouse had he been Black. They do not ask what would have happened had he been guilty.

While of obvious counterexamples of O.J. Simpson, Timothy Simpkin, Kenneth Walker, Andrew Coffey suggest themselves, the real answer cannot be understood by the Enemy nor anyone of his camp.

Christians side with the brightly innocent soul defending his life, limb, and livelihood against the mob of evildoers drunk on hate, whose souls burn with darkness. It is light versus dark: that is the only hue seen to those who walk by faith, not by sight.

How dark? The Enemy reserves praise only for those deep, rich, and practiced in vice and violence.

I have not been paying as close attention to this story as might be.

It was not until today that I learned what the attentive knew from the first day: Kyle Rittenhouse was at the gas station his grandparents owned, when rioters lit a dumpster on fire, and rolled it toward the gas pumps, in an attempt to ignite the petrol tanks, or explode them.
