Joe Biden stealing the election was bad. Is this news worse? I cannot say. All the lamps of civilization are going out.
Rumored last year, Ironheart was later confirmed to become a Disney+ series at Disney’s Investor Day presentation, even going so far as to announced Dominique Thorne as the titular character. This both excited and surprised many fans, especially due to the young actress being a newcomer with only two credits to her name.
In February, Dominique Thorne had spoken about how Marvel Studios approached her to portray Riri Willaims in Ironheart. In a new interview, Thorne further clarifies that she didn’t even need to audition for the leading role when she was offered it.

For the record, Steve Rogers, our own Captain America, reads hobbit books. Who now can doubt that Lord of the Rings is the greatest novel of the Millennium?
For the record, this panel is from the AVENGERS (1963) issue 46. Read the remainder of this entry »
The French are a strange people, if frank. They are something like Englishmen, but more continental in their élan. They have a certain je ne sais quois, but I don’t know what it is.
There are closed captions available for those of you whose French is as rusty as mine:
This week’s offering for the discriminating ear, lilting lyricism of country musical comedy, perhaps with a political twitch.

A reader with the royal but hibernian name of Kingmcdee comments:
Even this very day I saw a Malthusian Prophet in a Youtube comments section proclaiming that resources are being exhausted at terrifying pace and that every country in the world needed to implement a One-Child Policy for several generations in the name of humanitarianism. He countered every accusation of draconian tyranny by wailing about how the alternative was so much worse.
This is one of the few issues where I put my Vulcan training aside, and turn into a passion-driven beast, restrained by weakest scruples from bloody murder.
My fatherly instincts are provoked.
This sums up my basic objection to time travel.

From the most sarcastic pen of one Karen Straughan. She writes:
After many days of introspection, I have realized the error of my ways. Join me for a few moments of penitence a I revisit all the reasons I wrongly believed Donald Trump was a decent human being and a good president.
This is from PAST MASTER by R.A. Lafferty. Like many a work of his, the satire is so sharp it burns like acid.
In this scene, Thomas More, philosopher, author, statesman, and the author of UTOPIA, has been brought forward by time travelers, perhaps by mistake, to be elevated by fake election to be world-leader of the perfect planet, Golden Astrobe which, inexplicably, is dying of its imperfections.
I suspect R.A. Lafferty selected Thomas More as his protagonist, because he is that rare combination of saint and lawyer. The two professions rarely mix.

Saw this in a random combox, and thought it was one of the clearest summation of the talking points of the Empire of Lies yet seen, in all their glorious absurdity:
What They Want You To Believe:

A common from our own Ruldoph Harrier I thought worth of its own post:
I realized that while I have heard plenty of democrats say that “there has never been even a shred of evidence for voter fraud” (an obvious lie), I’ve never once heard one say “I would never engage in voter fraud to help my candidate win, since it would be morally wrong.”
Well said, sir.
Counsel for the Prosecution offers Exhibits that the 19th Amendment should be reconsidered:
Counsel for the Defense asks: Are these hysterics motivated by a political ideology? Or possessed by demons?
Because if what we are seeing is not the fault of a political ideology, then a political solution will not solve it.
Perhaps another solution is called for.
An advertisement in favor of repeal of the 22nd Amendment.
This ad did not convince me to join the movement being promoted, but seeing the responses and replies from weeping and anxiety-ridden Leftists appended to the Twitter entry of this vid, a deep and solemn sense of schadenfreude convinces me of the desirability of the repeal.
Twelve more years!
